Sadly crime and antisocial behaviour has a negative impact on too many of our communities. It can leave people afraid and feeling insecure in their homes and in the worst cases have devastating consequences.
We’re not the police or crimefighters. But as a landlord to thousands of people we still make a contribution to helping reduce crime and disorder. This can include evicting offenders who live in our homes, rehousing victims, and helping improve neighbourhoods to try to ‘design out’ crime with features such as improved lighting.
In and around Daventry we’re proud to be members of the West Northamptonshire Community Safety Partnership. Other members include:
- Northamptonshire Police
- Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service
- Integrated Care Board
- National Probation Service
- Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner
- Other housing providers
- Youth Offending Service
- Northamptonshire Children’s Trust
- And a wide range of community, voluntary and faith organisations
The partnership has recently put together some facts and figures to show the positive impact that members are having by working together. Take a look at some of the group’s achievements from April to December last year below.
It really does show the power of joining forces and how Futures is doing it’s part to create safer communities.
