Charlotte began her career at Futures as a Business Admin Apprentice five years ago.
She’d spent a while looking and applying for different roles, so she was happy to get an apprenticeship through Access Training, a training provider we jointly own with NCHA. She spent four days a week learning on the job at Futures and one day with her tutor from Access Training, who supported her and set tasks to help her to progress in her role.
With help from our employees and the team at Access she had the skills needed to pass her final exam and completed her apprenticeship.
Charlotte said: “Apprenticeships are a good way to get in and build experience while you’re on the job and then you have something to show for it with a qualification.”
And that was just the beginning for Charlotte…
Since then, we’ve supported her to complete a Level 2 AAT Accountancy Course and last year she finished an Advanced Payroll Technician Course. Charlotte went from Business Admin Apprentice to Finance Assistant and now she specialises in assisting with payments and payroll – but it all started with an apprenticeship!
Corinna Hembury, Managing Director at Access Training said: “Charlotte’s journey is a fantastic example of how apprenticeships provide a strong foundation for a successful career. Through hands-on learning and dedicated support, she was able to develop the skills and confidence needed to progress in the Finance sector. At Access Training, we’re passionate about helping apprentices like Charlotte unlock their potential, gain valuable qualifications, and build rewarding careers.”
