We want to help more of our customers to understand how we can help and support them, so we’re on the lookout for people with great stories to tell.

This helps us spread the word about how Futures is making a difference, and the positive impact that social and affordable housing can have on the lives of people in our communities. If you’re happy with something Futures has done for you, would you be comfortable sharing it with others? If so, we’d like to talk to you. Hearing your story might give someone else the confidence to reach out and get the support they need, or to challenge the attitudes of people who might have a negative view of social housing.

How it works:

  • Our communications team will call or email you and ask some questions about your experiences with Futures.
  • We’ll use what you tell us to write your story and send it to you with a consent form. The consent form is particularly important as it gives you control over how we use your story. We won’t share what you’ve told us without the form confirming you’re happy for us to go ahead. You can see examples of similar stories on our website.
  • Once you’ve approved what we’ve written and returned your form, we’ll ask you to send a photo, or arrange for a photographer to visit you. If you prefer not to use a photo we may still be able to use the words on their own.
  • We’ll let you know when and where we plan to share your story – for example on our website or with a journalist..

If you’re happy to take part, you can email our communications team at communications@futureshg.co.uk and we’ll get in touch directly.

We know it can be scary to put yourself out there and we appreciate that you might have some concerns. Visit click here for more information or email the communications team using the address above. Together we can work on your story to ensure you are 100% happy with it before it’s used anywhere.
