We're celebrating completing our 100th new home of the financial year, as part of our long-term plans to develop hundreds of new homes across the region.

Representatives from Futures and our construction partner, EQUANS, part of the ENGIE group, came together at the home on the Middlemore Estate in West Northamptonshire last week to mark the occasion.

The 100th property is one of 59 being developed on the site as part of a partnership between Futures and EQUANS, with Futures investing over £11m in the scheme. The homes, collectively known as Roman Park in recognition of a Roman road and other artefacts found on the site during the early stage of the project, are expected to be completed by Christmas 2021.

The project includes properties for shared ownership, affordable rent, market rent and Rent to Buy to appeal to people and families with a wide range of incomes and housing needs.

When complete the development will include a specially commissioned outdoor artwork by artist Wendy Briggs that will celebrate Daventry’s history.

“This is a great milestone for us in our quest to bring hundreds of new and affordable homes to the region”, said Ceri Theobald, Director of Strategic Partnerships & Growth at Futures. “This is one of the areas where we started our journey as a housing association so it’s fantastic to be continuing to provide more choice for local home-seekers. We want to thank everyone who has helped bring this project to fruition and to reach out to others who want to join forces with us on similar schemes that benefit the local community.”

Commenting for EQUANS, Regional Director Nathan Brough said: “We are delighted to have been a part of this key milestone for Futures. High quality, affordable homes remain in high demand across the UK, so it’s great that we’ve been able to support our partners in creating such a wide range of options for local families here in Daventry.”
