The team which keeps Futures Housing Group’s house in order has been shortlisted for a national award.

The East Midlands housing provider’s Governance & Compliance Team will go head to head with six other organisations in the Finance, Governance or Compliance team of the Year category at the Women In Housing Awards.

The awards celebrate and recognise excellent performance by female-led teams throughout the social housing sector.

Penny Huggard, the Group’s head of governance and compliance, said: “We’re delighted to be shortlisted in the WIH Awards.

“It feels like great recognition for a year of extremely hard work which has seen us tackle the challenges of GDPR; carefully and skilfully manage the risks faced by our business; ensuring Futures retained its G1V1 rating from our regulator and supporting our boards and committees run effectively.”

The team faces stiff competition at the awards which will be held at The Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester on October 11, 2018.
