We've had several alerts, now confirmed by a number of customers and the police, that some fraudsters are calling at customers' homes around Heanor, particularly targeting older people, claiming that they are from Futures and asking for money for work on 'alarms' and other things. So far they've been reported in action in and around the Ropewalk and Park Court.
These people are not from Futures. Our operatives and contractors always carry proper ID. If you do get such a visit, please ask to see an ID card or call to check with us before letting anyone in or handing over money.
If you know older people in the area who might be affected and are not on Facebook, please help spread the word.
