It's the final day of Financial Wellbeing Month so we’d like to finish by sharing information about some organisations that may be able to help you with your emotional wellbeing – whether that’s because of money problems or not.
Financial Wellbeing Month was started by Finwell, Ripple and MHFA England to increase awareness of the link between financial wellbeing and mental health. Each organisation provides lots of support and guidance for workplaces, so if you're employed they may be worth checking out. At Futures, almost 100 of our colleagues are now trained Mental Health First Aiders - so we're very proud to be supporting this campaign for both our customers and colleagues!
Find out how we and other organisations can help you below.
Services through the NHS
The services available depend on where you live. You can contact your GP, your local pharmacy, or even your local council may provide a mental health service.
The NHS also runs therapy and counselling services, which you can access without speaking to your GP.
Remember, your mental health is just as important as your physical health, so you will not be wasting anybody's time by reaching out.
If you or someone else is in danger, please call 999 or go to A&E now.
Contact a Samaritan
If you need someone to chat to then the Samaritans is there any time, day or night. Whatever you're going through, they're open 24/7, 365 days a year - and it's free to call them.
Did you know you don't have to phone if you'd prefer not to? You can choose to email, write them a letter or in some branches you can visit them in person.
The quickest way to speak to someone is always by phone on 116 123. They aim for everyone to get through to someone straight away, but sometimes this isn't always possible as it depends on the number of volunteers on the phones at that time - the number also won’t come up on your phone bill.
