Futures is pleased to share with you our annual reports for the last financial year, including our second ever environmental, social and governance (ESG) report and an interactive map showcasing the year's highlights.
We've created a dedicated website for our annual report, where users can click and tap their way around a map of the area where our homes are in the East Midlands. The map shows the multitude of community projects Futures has taken part in, as well as videos from colleagues across the business and stories about our partners and customers. Ultimately showing the focus of the year for Futures has been about supporting and reconnecting with our customers and communities.
Along with this is our financial report, which demonstrates another strong financial performance for Futures.
The new ESG report is only the second time Futures has matched its performance against the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing. The report takes another vital step in evaluating how we're doing and whether we continues to move in the right direction on our sustainability journey.
Ceri Theobald, Group Director of Strategic Partnerships & Growth at Futures said: “We know we can’t single-handedly reduce the world’s carbon footprint, but we will make sure we do all we can at Futures to do our bit. I’m really proud of the work shown in this new ESG report as it shows our commitment to not only choosing greener ways of working, but making sure we support our customers along this journey too.
“Our customers are the most important part of Futures and are at the heart of every decision we make. Whether that’s investing in their homes to make them more comfortable and affordable to heat, or sharing tips and advice to help them reduce their energy usage, we’re there for them.
"We recognise the impact we can have in the communities our customers live, and actively seek to work in partnership with organisations to support and improve them.
“And it’s also great to know that our governance remains as strong as ever as our recent in-depth assessment from the Regulator of Social Housing once again confirmed our G1/V1 top ratings. This puts us among an increasingly small number of housing associations in this top-scoring category.”
