Rents will be increasing for most of our customers by 2.7% this year. This is in line with government policy and at the same level as for all other housing associations. All customers should receive a letter next week (week beginning 2 March) with details of how you are affected.
As a not-for-profit housing association, the extra rent income we get will, as always, help to cover the increasing costs of maintaining homes, building new affordable homes and providing support to customers who need it.
If you are worried about your finances, either now or because of a rent increase, remember that our money advice team can give help and support to manage your household budget and claim any benefits you are entitled to. We also give employment advice to help you into work if you are struggling. Contact us to find out more about these and other free services we offer. You can also read our rent increase FAQs for more information about why rents are going up.
