Futures Housing Group has been recognised for its commitment to enhancing the skills and knowledge of its own staff by winning a prestigious award.

Futures, which employs more than 300 people across the East Midlands, has won the Commitment to People Development award, sponsored by Work-Wallet, at the 2019 Derbyshire Business Awards. Futures beat four other organisations to win the award at the event which is organised by the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce .

Lindsey Williams, Chief Executive Officer at Futures Housing Group said: “Our people are key to our success, and that’s why we invest so much in training and development to help them reach their potential.

“We are an ambitious organisation and we have set ourselves some high standards, and this award is evidence of how good we are. I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Futures because without their hard work, talent and dedication, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.”

The judges said that Futures won “because of the breadth of development they do and because they were able to give examples of how that development has impacted and grown the business.”

Futures received praise for a range of projects aimed at people development, including their approach to apprenticeships, in-house leadership program, operational training, health and safety and agile working.

The award is the latest people-focused accolade that Futures has earned after gaining the Investors in Excellence and Investors in People Gold standards in 2018.
