Abbey Road has 21 'gas free' affordable homes in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

None of the homes have any gas heating or cooking. Instead they use energy efficient measures such as solar panels, hot water cylinders, electric radiators and storage heaters to help with common high energy usage tasks like washing and keeping warm. The shared ownership houses also have air source heat pumps and underfloor heating, and all 21 homes achieve the highest energy performance certificate rating of EPC Band A.

Sixteen of the homes are for social rent and five are for shared ownership.

  • Two bedroom apartments.
  • Two bedroom houses.

The scheme was built in partnership with Peveril Homes and Stagfield Group Development, with over a quarter of the homes at this development being affordable housing.
