Litter picking success

Team members joined the Great British Spring Clean.
15 April 2026

A mound of firework remnants, one baby doll’s leg and a packet(s) of crisps were just some of the items found in our Great British Spring Clean activities last month.

Futures colleagues were some of the over half a million litter heroes taking part in the national campaign by Keep Britain Tidy that ran between 16-29 March.

We decided to hold one of the litter picks in Ironville, Derbyshire due to the ongoing issue with fly-tipping in the village – we are working closely with the parish and local council to try and solve this!

Our grounds maintenance team also joined us to mow the large green spaces on King William Street, trim back some branches and take away our bags of collected rubbish for us!

Down on the Headlands in Daventry, we joined West Northamptonshire Council for its litter pick. This was a great partnership collaboration as not only were Northamptonshire Police, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service, and the Daventry Mayor there, but we also helped deliver letters to residents experiencing antisocial behaviour. Along with the council and another housing association’s antisocial behaviour team, we were able to offer support through a multi-agency approach.
