Tenancy Advice

Becoming a customer with Futures Housing Group

If you live in Derbyshire, you can register for housing through the Home Options website www.homeoptions.org

If you live in Northamptonshire, you can register for housing through HomeChoice www.homechoice-link.org.uk

Empty properties are also advertised on a weekly basis through Rightmove  www.rightmove.co.uk and our Available Homes page.

If you are offered a property

Once you have been offered a property, you will be given the opportunity to view it. All of our properties meet our Lettable Standard.

We have various types of tenancy, and this will be explained during the viewing stage or during tenancy sign up.

You may be offered a starter tenancy with us if you never been a customer with us before. This is usually an assured shorthold tenancy which means you do not have security of tenure for the first 12 months of your tenancy. During this period, you will need to demonstrate that you have met the requirements of your tenancy conditions.

You will be required to pay your rent in advance and this will be explained during the tenancy sign up.  Futures Housing Group can offer help with budgeting and our Money Advice Team may contact you to make sure that you can afford the property which you have been offered.

We can also offer you help and practical support through our Tenancy Sustainment Service.
