How we unlock potential

We tailor our support to each individual but we generally consider the following steps to unlocking potential:

Confidence and Self-esteem
We know many people are anxious or lack the confidence to get into work or begin volunteering. We will work closely with you to help build your confidence and self-esteem. When you’re ready, we will help you find opportunities to work in your local community, develop networks in your local area and find the confidence to take the next steps.

We can help you find volunteering roles to continue building your confidence and try new things. We have an established network of organisations and businesses who can provide opportunities for you to shine.

Work Experience
The next step for you may be trying out different job opportunities – for example, if you wanted to become an electrician, Futures Housing Group offers work placements in our Repairs Team. If you wanted to become a teaching assistant, we have links with local schools in our community so could source a placement for you.

An apprenticeship is a real job with training, so you can earn while you learn and pick up a nationally recognised qualification as you go. We work with Access Training, our further education provider, to deliver apprenticeships as well as providing our own. Check out our careers site for opportunities.

Learning & Development
Training can unlock your future – and we can support and guide you to the right course for you. Working with Access Training, Jobcentre Plus and a variety of different local training providers in our communities, we can plug you into the right support.
