Customers reminded to check ID after hoax phone calls
Following a number of hoax phone calls to our customers about repair work, we’re reminding all customers to check ID before allowing anyone in.
If you find yourself in this situation, or if a contractor turns up at your property unexpectedly, don’t let them in or give them access to your property. Call us on 0300 456 2531 and we can confirm if the appointment is legitimate and also check the person’s identity, all of our contractors carry valid ID with them.
If your property is due a visit from a member of our repairs team for servicing or maintenance, we will send you a letter confirming an appointment date to suit you, and you will be aware of the visit before we arrive.
Recently, on of our customers received a call from someone asking for access to their home to service the boiler. After checking with us, we were able to confirm there was no service due.
