Futures first modular homes are state-of-the-art
Futures Housing Group is adding ‘radically different’ modular homes to its portfolio.
Built in a factory in Derbyshire by Advanced Precision Homes, the state-of-the-art modular homes are not only a first for the Group, but also the first of their kind to roll off the production line.
The four properties will soon be installed in Beeston, Nottinghamshire and offered for rent through Futures’ commercial development company, Limehouse Developments Limited.
Marcus Keys, Group Director of Business Growth and Transformation at Futures, said: “These will be our first modular homes and we are delighted that we are taking this first step with Advanced Precision Homes who offer something unique.
“Their unique design means they offer a reduction in energy bills and the fact they have been built in a factory means we have reduced the build time, reducing any disruption on site.
“We’re really excited to be able to offer these incredible homes as part of our growing portfolio of properties for rent, shared ownership and sale.”
Taking around eight weeks to build, each of the properties boasts in-built smart technology including Bluetooth and voice-activation for some appliances, wiring for satellite TV and internet and automatic ventilation to keep rooms fresh.
Renters will also benefit from solar panels and a ground source heat pump to keep energy bills low.
Derick Wilson, Director of Advanced Precision Homes, said: “What we do is radically different and this is the opportunity to throw the rule book out of the window and decide how we would like to see things done better.
“This is about providing homes that you can afford to live in, not just houses you can afford. It’s not an affordable product, it’s top of the range.”
The four three-bedroom homes, all built to a high specification will be available for rent for a minimum of six months from April.
