Your tenancy agreement is an important legal document. Please keep this in a safe place.
If you have been a tenant for less than 12 months you may be a starter tenant.
If you have lived in your property for more than 12 months you will be an assured tenant unless we have informed you that you are on a different type of agreement.

Assured short-hold tenants
Assured short hold tenants will have one of the following agreements:
- A Fixed Term Agreement
- A Starter Tenancy Agreement
Fixed term agreements usually last for around six months and are mainly used for customers in temporary accommodation.
Starter Tenancy agreements are used for certain general needs allocations. They offer a trial period of 12-18 months for customers to demonstrate they can manage their tenancy. If at the end of the trial period there have been no breaches of tenancy, they will convert to an assured tenancy.
A breach of tenancy may include a failure to pay rent, causing anti-social behaviour or misusing your property (including the garden).
