Give something back and volunteer
Futures Housing Group provides volunteer opportunities and added value services within their communities. Volunteers play an important role at Futures, their ability to enhance our programmes, events and operations beyond the skills and resources of staff is greatly valued. Through the engagement of volunteers, we are able to further reach into our communities, facilitating a two-way transfer of skills and knowledge.

- Greater motivation and sense of achievement
- Taking part in new experiences
- Satisfaction that what you are doing is really helping to make a difference to others.
The Daventry Time Bank
The Daventry District Time Bank is a way for people to share skills with others in their community and be rewarded for it – in time. For every hour of time you give providing a service for another volunteer, you receive one time credit. For more information see the video below or click here.
Happy at Home Partnership
FHG is in partnership with a National Lottery funded five-year project that aims to help isolated elderly people to feel less lonely. Working across the Daventry district the Happy at Home Partnership provides access to local services and information, including advice about falls prevention and keeping warm.
Led by the Daventry Volunteer Centre, the partnership is run the scheme across the Daventry and South Northants districts. Volunteers also carry out home visits, often helping out with shopping, ironing and taking residents out for a coffee and cake. The project also organises social events, enabling people to interact with others.
Other project partners include South Northants Homes, Northamptonshire Age UK, Care and Repair, Northamptonshire Centre for independent Living, Northamptonshire NHS Falls Service, Northamptonshire Police, Daventry and South Northants Volunteer Bureau.
If you know of anyone who would benefit from this service or anyone who would be interested in volunteering, please contact Project Coordinator, Nicola Toms, on 01327 300614 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
