Applying for an apprenticeship at Futures Housing Group was definitely one of the best moves I could have possibly made and, if you’re stuck in a rut or just fancy a change, I’d recommend you do the same!
You’ll be working with two very different teams and I can promise you, no two days will be the same.
The Business Transformation team are working with teams throughout the business to improve our services and put the customer at the heart of everything we do. You’ll have the opportunity to spend time with other teams around the business and find out what we do as a company. If you’re like me and not sure what you’d like to do for a career, this is an amazing opportunity to experience different things and hopefully find something that you really like.
PR and Comms also touch all parts of the business and keep everyone informed on what is going on and communicate our services to customers. You’ll get the chance to help organise big events and maybe even get to experiment with writing news stories. This is all alongside the general admin and support you will give to the teams.
I’ve had amazing opportunities during this role including organising big events, delivering training to the company, being shortlisted for a national award and attending three different award ceremonies! I’ve also nearly completed my NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
You’ll walk away from this with qualifications, experience and lifelong friendships. What more could you ask for?
